New additions to 6 Mix

Rob Da Bank and DJ Yoda

Rob Da Bank and DJ Yoda join our world-class line-up on BBC Radio 6 Music.

6 Mix, our weekly dance show on BBC Radio 6 Music, is delighted to announce the addition of Rob Da Bank and DJ Yoda to an already world class line-up – Jamie xx, Andrew Weatherall, Derrick May, Groove Armada, Goldie and Erol Alkan.

Following two stints as a 6 Mix guest DJ, Rob brings a truly eclectic sound to the show, with music ranging from techno to chillwave, and everything in-between. Away from his long and illustrious radio career, Rob is best known as the man behind Bestival and Camp Bestival, whilst also running his label Sunday Best – releasing music from Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip, David Lynch, Beardyman and many more.

Rob Da Bank says:

“I can’t wait to dive in and play whatever I want to one of the fastest-growing audiences around.”

Yoda (Duncan Beiny), pioneer of the bootleg ‘cut-up’ mixing style, was a guest on the show last June for the first ever Visual 6 Mix and will continue to help push 6 Mix’s musical/radio boundaries. Ranging from funk and reggae to big band swing and country and western, Beiny’s influences and experience of DJing alongside the likes of Mark Ronson and Fatboy Slim will bring a refreshingly unique style to the show.

DJ Yoda says:

“The feedback for the Visual 6 Mix I did last year was extraordinary and I can’t wait to try and top that. Boom!”

You can listen to 6 Mix every Friday, 10pm-12am on BBC Radio 6 Music.
